The range of articles which BIOVALENTIA: Biological Research Journal publishing is the research results in Biology science and applied Biology. Biology science is included Ecology, Biosystematics, Physiology, Developmental Biology, Microbiology, Genetics. Applied Biology is included Biotechnology, and the sciences derived from Biology science.
The manuscript should be reviewed by two reviewers and edited by the editors. If the manuscript was written by the person of editors/reviewers, the manuscript must be reviewed by the other reviewers and edited by the other editors. The reviewers review a manuscript in their field of Biological sciences. The reviewers take their time to review a manuscript in 4 weeks typically.
The review process begin after a manuscript file and metadata uploaded/submitted by the author (with or without co authors). Editor (typically Editor-in-chief) assigns submission of manuscript file and metadata to section editor (or other editor) to see through the editorial process. Editor (or Section Editor) invites 2 reviewers from list of reviewers (or database ) with interests. The other hand, section editor (or editor) can check submission, conduct peer review, and finally reach editorial decision. Meanwhile, reviewers review and submit review and recomendation to section editor (or editor). At the same time, author can track process, see files, reviews, revise and resubmit the manuscript file at editor or section editor’ request. The review process will finish if the final editorial decision has been reached by section editor and editor.

BIOVALENTIA: Biological Research Journal was born on 10th November 2015 by PDDI-LIPI with publishing of E-ISSN 2477-1392. BIOVALENTIA: Biological Research Journal has been publised since November 2015. It has been accredited by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Republic Indonesia, number 10/E/KPT/2019 for the third category (Sinta 3) until Vol. 9 No. 1, 2023, Google Scholar since 2016, DOI Crossref since 2017, DOAJ with green thick since 16 August 2017, Garuda since 2017, Indonesia One Search by Perpusnas since 2018. The other indexing are on ISJD, OCLC WorldCat, Base, and other indexing sites.
Since DOAJ has run with website version 2, BIOVALENTIA: Biological Research Journal is still indexed by DOAJ without green thick. This issue is only about CC-BY-SA logo which is not present in each PDF version of manuscript. Since Vol. 8 No. 2 November 2022, the CC-BY-SA logo present in each PDF version of manuscript.
Since 2015 the Editorial Board of BIOVALENTIA: Biological Research Journal was the first editorial team. The Editor in Chief was Dr. Munawar, M.Si. Meanwhile, the managing editor was Drs. Enggar Patriono, M.Si.
Since 2020 the Editorial Board of BIOVALENTIA: Biological Research Journal was the second and third editorial team. The Editor in Chief was Dr. Sarno, M.Si. Meanwhile, the managing editor was Drs. Enggar Patriono, M.Si.
Since May 2024 the Editorial Board of BIOVALENTIA: Biological Research Journal was the 4th editorial team. Dr. Sarno, M.Si. was replaced by Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Indra Yustian, M.Si. The managing editor is Drs. Enggar Patriono, M.Si. Meanwhile, Dr. Zazili Hanafiah, M.Sc. (editor) deceased on 20th April 2024.
